Gila Valley Baptist Church - Exalting the Savior, Equipping the Saints, Evangelizing the Lost
Gila Valley Baptist Church is located on Highway 211 in Gila, New Mexico.
Our church is located directly across from the Gila Senior Center and Post Office.
We would like to invite you to any of our worship services, or fellowship events.

No matter what lies in our past, when we confess our sin,
God forgives us and gives us a fresh start.
What great cause for hope!
God’s grace offers us fresh starts.
Everyone whose heart God had moved—prepared to go up and build
the house of the Lord in Jerusalem. Ezra 1:5

Operation Christmas Child
Collection Day is November 18.
There is only one more week of operation Christmas Child.  Help us reach our goal of 100 boxes.  The sole purpose is to reach children for Jesus and to communicate God’s love to them.  We have the opportunity to share God’s love simply by packing a shoebox. Please pray for our boxes as they start their journey. Remember that each box needs $9 to get to its destination.  Thank you for supporting this ministry.

The Living Nativity
Team Kids will preform the Living Nativity once again on Tuesday, December 11th at 5:30PM at the Cliff-Gila Fairgrounds Show Ring. We will serve refreshments after the event, in the exhibit building. Family and Friends are invited to attend.  If you can help with the program let us use an animal for the program or by baking cookies, please contact Deanna Kartchner.

Missions Offering
The church is accepting offerings for Isaac Bannie, a Liberian evangelist.  This offering will be used by Isaac to feed his orphans and go into the villages and preach.  This will be a continuous giving opportunity.

Keep God First

This New Year
Whether you’ve just walked through the greatest year of your life, or are incredibly glad to see this one finally over, one truth still rings clear amidst it all. You are not alone. Not ever.
Our God is a “with us" God. On the heels of the celebration of the birth of our King, that reminder has the power to carry us right into a fresh, new start. He is Immanuel, God with us. And though things and people around us shift and change, our God never changes.

“Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?
I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”
Is. 43:18-19
Like any organization, a church needs a way to get in touch with its congregation quickly in the event of an emergency or just for quicker, easier form of communication.  Not everyone makes it to Sunday services to hear our announcements or read our bulletin.  DialMyCalls can be used for numerous announcements and to specific groups within the church. Within just a few minutes our entire church family receives a message and becomes immediately informed. As announcements need to be made, will be used.  If you have any questions, visit with Brenda.

Lord, You do take our breath away with Your greatness. Thank You for reminding us of Your grandeur in Your world and in Your Word.
Evening Worship & Soup Supper
You are invited to Evening Worship Services on Sunday, November 11 at the Southwest Christian Center at 6:00 PM.  Len Bunts will be delivering the message and Chris Bunts will be serving us a soup supper.  Come and join us for a good message and a good meal!

National Wreaths Across America
Each December on National Wreaths Across America Day, December 15, our mission to Remember, Honor and Teach is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at National Cemeteries across the United States, at sea and abroad. Join us by sponsoring a veterans’ wreath at Fort Bayard National Cemetery or by volunteering. Contact Mary Cowan at or at 575-538-2626 to order a wreath for a loved one or just to honor a veteran.
Deadline to order is November 26.  A wreath costs $15.00 (for every 2 wreaths ordered a 3 wreath will be provided).

“God, please let every veteran of our nation’s armed forces feel truly and appropriately honored by the attention and appreciation of their fellow citizens. Let no one feel forgotten or neglected. Let every man and woman, young or old, feel the deep and enduring gratitude of our nation and its inhabitants.” Amen
